An estimated 1600 metric tonnes of indium are refined globally each year. The main end-use for indium is in indium tin oxide (ITO), a conductive compound that is used to coat flat panel displays. Roughly three quarters of all indium consumption ultimately used in ITO coatings for smart phone and television screens. Other applications for the metal include in photovoltaic technologies, low melt alloys and lead free solders.

SMI Ltd. stocks and supplies cast indium metal ingots, indium shot, 100g bars, as well as indium oxide and powder in a variety of purities. Please contact us for current indium prices or to discuss your specific indium requirements
